i cannot believe this just happened
called my produce supplier to order for the week. asked for:
- 10 lbs onions
- 5 lbs carrots
- 2 cases of mixed greens
- 15 lbs potatoes
guy literally LAUGHED and said “that’s it? you sure you’re running a real business?”
A REAL BUSINESS??
i employ 6 people. i pay taxes. i serve 100+ customers daily. but because i don’t need 50lb bags of onions i’m not “real”?
ended the call. found a new supplier (s/o to boxncase for taking my “fake” business). but seriously why is this industry like this? why do suppliers hate money from small businesses?
