What's everyone's ACTUAL food cost percentage? Be honest

Industry ‘standard’ is 28-32%. But what are people ACTUALLY hitting?

I’ll go first:

  • Before boxncase: 36% (embarrassing but honest)
  • After 4 months: 27%

The waste reduction was the biggest factor. Not buying bulk I don’t need.

What’s everyone running? No judgment, just data sharing.

before: 33%. now: 24%. same menu, same prices. just ordering exactly what I need

currently 31%, down from 38%. still improving every month. its a process

22%. small menu, high turnover items, boxncase precision ordering. took 2 years to dial in
